Journeying - The Short Course

July 9 & 10, 2008| 6:30pm - 9:30pm
Since men and women have inhabited Mother Earth,
people have had the special ability to move into the unseen worlds
around them, to JOURNEY inward to obtain advice and knowledge. This
form of information retrieval and inner consultation can be easily
adapted for use in the context of today's world. This playshop will
guide you to re-awaken these ancient skills to access the wisdom
and support that lies within. The playshop will cover basic shamanic
journey techniques, re-connect you with your spiritual guides and
teachers, and introduce you to the realms of the shamanic cosmology.
Attendance at both nights is required.

Shake, Rattle
and Roll - A Rattle Making Playshop

Saturday, September 6, 2008 | 1:00pm - 5pm
Come spend an afternoon, creating the bones of your rattle. We will
begin with a creative visualization to find the vision of your rattle.
Rattles will be made from elk or buffalo hide. The rattle head will
have to dry, so you will complete your creative process on your
own. If you have a special stick or bone you would like to use for
a handle, please bring it to the playshop.

Shamanism is more than just a skill or technique;
it is a way of life, a way of life in connection with all our relations,
whether they are Spirit, plant, animal or mineral. But, to live
in the energetic connection with all things, we must first know
ourselves.
In this experiential playshop you will explore and expand your Earth
Chakra that is stored deep within Mother Earth and bring this energy
into your conscious awareness. You will connect with this chakra
center and subtle bodies opening and expanding your energy field,
which allows Spirit to assist you in returning to the center of
your power and gaining awareness of your energetic connections with
"All of Our Relations". Other activities include shamanic
breathing exercises, exploring your energetic boundaries, and chakra
alignments to attune your individual energy systems.
In this playshop you will acquire tools which you can easily incorporate
into your life for pleasure, growth and healing.

of a physical skill but also a journey into the realm of Spirit.
Ceremonies are done throughout the day to connect you to the spirits
of the elk and cedar tree as well as the spirit of the drum. Making
your drum in this way begins a relationship of healing, learning
and teaching between the person and the drum's spirit, as it sings
its song.
